Clueso turns a rough screen recording, or a slide deck, into a product demo and the written steps that go with it. Record in the browser extension or upload a file. It rewrites the script, swaps in a catalog voice, zooms on the clicks, and builds the article from the same cut. The homepage puts a raw Airbnb search beside the finished cut: a title, a cursor, and a pink "With Clueso" mark. You leave with an MP4, a GIF, or the article as rich text, Markdown, or HTML. The banner this week is Clueso MCP. Claude or ChatGPT can run the same edit from a recording or a deck, and the result stays editable in the video editor. Free is 10 export minutes a month with a watermark, and each source video caps at 10 minutes. Solo is $40 a month. Business is $120. A 7-day trial is on the pricing page. Skip it for a podcast timeline, or for clipping a long video you already shot.
Clueso is Product Hunt's leader this week because the job is narrow. You already have a messy recording of the product. You need a demo a customer can follow, and the written steps, without learning a timeline. The Airbnb comparison on the homepage is the product: the raw search on one side, the finished cut on the other, with a title and a cursor that knows where to look. Descript is the wrong comparison. Descript edits a transcript. OpusClip is the wrong comparison too. It cuts highlights out of a video you already finished.
The MCP launch is why the card is this week, not because Clueso is unknown. The site says 300,000 videos in six months. What changed on 22 September is that the same edit can start in Claude or ChatGPT. Useful if you already live in those chats. Useless as a reason to skip the editor when you need to blur a password or fix one sentence.
Best for anyone who has to explain software: a founder, a support lead, a trainer. Skip it for a podcast, a YouTube episode, or a cinema clip. Skip Business if you export less than the free ten minutes. The watermark is the honest tax on Free.
