Every meeting tool that sends a bot into the call creates a small social problem: people behave differently when they know they are being recorded by a third-party service. Granola avoids this entirely. It records on your machine, from your audio output, and no one else in the meeting knows unless you tell them.
The output is better than a raw transcript. Granola merges what you type during the call with what the AI heard, so the result has both your emphasis and the full conversation. The structured summaries are actually useful — action items, key decisions, follow-ups — not just a wall of text.
