AxonSheet is an Excel add-in that does bulk AI work inside the sheet you already have open. Upload a Word or Markdown dump and it becomes rows. Highlight empty cells and it fills them from neighboring context. Add a column from a sentence, append rows that match the table, rewrite selected cells, or send the AI to the web and drop research into the grid. Comments land on cells when something looks inconsistent. It never leaves Excel. Lifetime access is $49 once; you bring your own OpenAI, Gemini, OpenRouter, or Ollama key and pay that provider for tokens. That is the privacy pitch and the setup cost. It will not run in Google Sheets, and it will not decide what the numbers mean unless you write the prompt.

The catalog already has two spreadsheet tools. Julius answers questions about a file you uploaded. Powerdrill Bloom hunts insights and charts for you. AxonSheet is the unglamorous third job: you are already in Excel, the column is a mess, and you do not want another tab. Document-to-rows, fill-the-blanks, add-a-column-from-a-sentence — that is admin work, and it is the right work for an add-in.
The $49 lifetime price is the honest part of the page. The catch sits next to it: bring your own key. That is better privacy than a hosted spreadsheet chatbot, and worse onboarding for anyone who does not already have an API key. We opened the site and the feature list with in-product tutorials; the Excel GIFs did not finish loading in this session, so treat the Excel-chrome claims as vendor demonstration until someone runs it on a real workbook.
Best for people who live in Excel on Windows or Mac and will write the prompt. Skip it for Google Sheets, and skip it if you wanted a tool that explains the quarter without you asking. No stars until we have filled a real column.
