Napkin solves one specific problem better than anything else available: turning written text into a visual you would actually use. Not a rough wireframe, not a prompt-engineered SVG — a real diagram or infographic that looks like someone on your team made it.
The free tier is genuinely usable. 500 credits per week covers several diagrams and a short presentation. The editing tools let you adjust everything after generation, so you are not stuck with whatever the AI chose. PowerPoint export means the output goes into the workflow people already have.
Skip it if your visuals need to start from data, not text. Napkin cannot read a CSV or connect to a database. It also cannot do anything with images — no photo editing, no image generation. This is purely text-to-structure.
